The Keralty healthcare organisation had its company and subsidiary websites and operations disrupted by a RansomHouse ransomware attack.

The Columbian healthcare provider Keralty and its subsidiaries, EPS Sanitas and Colsanitas, suffered disruption to their IT operations, the scheduling of medical appointments and its websites.

On Monday, Keralty reported that they have been suffering technical problems but did not disclose the cause.

According to the local media, the IT outages have impacted Columbia’s healthcare system, where patients had to wait for over twelve hours to receive care and some fainted due to lack of medical attention.

“The computer servers of the Keralty Group companies have been the object of a cyberattack, which has generated technical failures in our systems," states a translated statement from Keralty.

The healthcare provider states that they have been working with the technical team and the medical and administrative group to provide continuity care to their members.

A Twitter user named Alexander tweeted a screenshot of a VMware ESXi server with a ransom note showing `Dear Keralty,’ revealing that the healthcare group suffered a ransomware attack.

“This ransom note belongs to the RansomHouse ransomware operation, originally called its ransomware White Rabbit,” states BleepingComputer.

The RansomHouse threat actors also said they were behind an attack on 27 November and claimed to have stolen 3TB of data.
