Deloitte, one of the major accounting firms in the world revealed that it discovered a cybersecurity breach which may have exposed client information.The company revealed that the breach was discovered on March this year and hackers may have access to their system since October.The hackers gained access to the systems through company’s global email server by compromising an administrator account which was not secured by two-factor authentication.The breach has exposed five million emails which were in the cloud, and it is believed hackers had potential access to usernames, passwords, IP addresses, business information, workers' health records and some confidential security attachments also.The company informed the government authorities immediately after the breach was discovered and notified every client who was affected by the breach.

Deloitte declined to comment on which of its clients have been impacted by this breach and which government or law enforcement authorities it has contacted.
