Atlas Quantum cryptocurrency investment platform has confirmed it has suffered a data breach exposing personal details 261,000 customers.“We became aware early on Saturday night that a security incident involving the leakage of data from our customers occurred. We are conducting an investigation with our information security advisor to understand the incident in more detail, and we will cooperate with the appropriate authorities.”The leaked data includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, and account balances.In a Facebook post on Sunday company said that it discovered the incident on Saturday night and immediately took steps to protect the database and passwords and private keys remain encrypted.The company said that the breach only exposed personal data of customers and attackers did not steal any bitcoins or fund from users account.After discovering the breach, the company has disabled some features of the platform as a precaution and also said that it will notify users when they are reactivated.The company refused to give more details as the investigation is still ongoing and said that it has notified the law and enforcement authorities about the incident.“We are monitoring the affected accounts and working to have additional protection against fraud. We ask for understanding to our customers and community. We are fully available, 24 hours, in our service channels.”The customers can check whether their information has been exposed in the incident through Have I Been Pwned portal.
